Arrowhead, headquartered in Blaine, MN, is a multi-unit organization with both domestic and foreign subsidiaries, including multiple distribution centers in North America, Europe, and sourcing offices in China, India and Taiwan.  Arrowhead employs over 800 people, and has completed numerous acquisitions expanding both its product offering and geographic reach. 

 

Strategically, together with a strong management team, the plan is to actively seek acquisitions both domestically and globally and continue to grow organically at an aggressive double-digit rate. Due to our continued growth, we are searching for a professional, self-motivated individual to fill the role of Logistics Manager.

 

The Logistics Manager is a key role and will be responsible for freight cost, quality and service relative to all divisions of Arrowhead.

 

Duties:

  • Develop and implement freight and network strategies to achieve optimum cost and service goals.
  • Drive the design, development, implementation and management of logistics solutions.
  • Prepare and recommend freight budgets. Monitor spending adherence to budget and take appropriate countermeasures.
  • Establishes relationships and works closely with 3PL logistics provider as well as corporate logistics resources.
  • Negotiate and manages any direct contracts for logistics and freight.
  • Ensure compliance to all DOT, CFR and TSA regulations related to importing, transporting, and shipping of goods.
  • Root cause analysis and problem resolution for all logistics operations
  • Implement/Improve freight and logistics processes and drive initiatives to make it easier for customers to do business with Arrowhead.
  • Produce freight metrics and various periodic and ad hoc reports including weekly freight tracking, cost/package, cost/lb., cost/mode reports.
  • Performs administrative activities associated with the effective management of logistics and freight, including compiling, storing, and retrieving data for reports.
  • Determines responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives.
  • Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

Education and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.

8+ years related experience and/or training.

Small parcel freight experience

Inbound ocean freight experience

Customs compliance experience

LTL & TL experience

Multi-site distribution experience
